How Strong Are Your Bones?
DXA measures bone mineral density. But density doesn't tell you how well your bone is built. Echolight REMS does. This FDA-cleared, radiation-free ultrasound assesses bone density, bone quality, and 5-year fracture risk in a single visit.

What Is Echolight REMS?
REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry) is a next-generation bone assessment developed in Italy. Instead of X-rays, it analyzes ultrasound signals from your spine and both hips to assess bone density, bone quality through a Fragility Score, and your estimated 5-year fracture risk. Your 45-minute visit includes a personal results review and a report for your healthcare provider.
Benefits of Assessment
See What DXA Can't
Your bone's inner structure. The part that decides whether it bends or breaks.
Accurate When DXA Isn't
Arthritis, calcification, small frames, and diabetes can all skew a DXA reading. REMS sees past them.
Know Sooner If It's Working
DXA rechecks usually wait 2 years. REMS can show bone changes in as little as 6 months.
No Radiation
Safe to repeat. Ideal during pregnancy, cancer care, or anytime you want to limit radiation exposure.

How Echolight REMS Works
While you lie comfortably on a table, a handheld probe scans your spine and both hips. Instead of creating an X-ray image, REMS analyzes the raw ultrasound signal from your bone and compares it with a large clinical database to assess both density and quality. Your report shows your T-score, Z-score, Fragility Score, and 5-year fracture risk, with a color-coded view of each vertebra.
Your assessment is performed by a certified Echolight REMS operator and member of the International Institute for Musculoskeletal Health Education (IIMHE). You review every result together before you leave.
DXA Shows Part of Your Bone Health. REMS Adds the Rest.
With a precision error under 0.5% and built-in quality checks that filter out artifacts, REMS gives a clearer, more consistent picture.
